1960s Durable Suites Teak Veneer Desk/Dressing Table With Brass Details

£395.00

This item is quite unusual and a rare piece from the British furniture manufacturer of mid-century designs, Durable Suites.

This dressing table comes with a removable trifold mirror, which means it could easily be used as a desk.

It is made up of two drawers on each side, with brass handles and matching brass wrapped feet at the front. The top has been lightly sanded and oiled, but some stains, patina and scratches from opening and closing the mirror remain. There are some areas where the veneer edging has peeled away, these are shown in the photos and video.

Durable Suites Ltd was a British mid-century furniture maker, active from 1938 onwards, known for producing well-made teak and other wood furniture, including bedroom sets, wardrobes, and coffee tables. However, they were often sold unbranded through retailers. Their pieces are found from the 1930s to the 1960s
