Delightful pair of black and white Staffordshire figures which feature spaniels holding yellow baskets of pink flowers in their mouths. These are flatback and decorated only at the front. Similar piece Victorian, circa 1860 illustrated in, ''A-Z of Staffordshire Dogs, A Potted History'', by Clive Mason Pope, page 103, figure 54

These are a truly rare pair and extremely hard to come by. They would make an attractive addition to a mantle or shelf.
