Set of Four Framed Vintage Embroidered Kensitas Flowers Cards

This gorgeous set of framed embroidered cards is made up of four different designs. Each one has two different flowers embroidered in silk thread.

These beautiful, unique, Kensitas woven silk flowers, issued by Wix, were given away free inside each packet of Kensitas Cigarettes in the 1930s. Kensitas Flowers Silks were a type of collectable that was produced by the British tobacco company Kensitas Flowers in the early 20th century. The silks, which were made from a thin, brightly coloured fabric, were included in packs of Kensitas' tobacco products and were designed to be collected and traded by consumers.

Because there are two different flowers on each Postcard size there are only 30 silks in this series. 

In this set, there are: Parrot Tulip - Darwin - Tulip, Helenium - Ox-eye Daisy, Honeysuckle - Rambler Rose and Love-in-a-Mist - Scabious
